      PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This ambitious undertaking involved envisioning, designing, and constructing a brand-new community and all associated infrastructure. Granted 2,400 units + 650,000 retail SF after a nine-year entitlements process, the first task was massive earthwork, followed by a new I-70 interchange, bridge over Eagle River, RR underpass, dry and wet utilities for a new town, etc.

UNIQUE PROJECT CHALLENGES
- Get consensus and approvals from wide range of stakeholders (e.g. public, Town of Avon, CDoT, FHWA, ACoE, NFS, etc.). 
- Complete huge site infrastructure project while meeting very aggressive Home Depot & Walmart opening dates. 
- Construct a new exit / interchange while keeping major national interstate open in tough mountain environment and harsh weather. 
- Coordination of local, state, federal and Union Pacific RR requirements even when they were not always in alignment. 
- Utilize master schedule / budget to run many smaller subprojects.
